HUBBARD'S
CUPBOARD
Hubbard's Cupboard, Program Partners with Crayons to Computers, will serve as an on-site supplement in select schools to fill needs that arise, like when a student needs a new backpack to start the school year or a healthy snack during a long day. Each Cupboard is consistently stocked throughout the year with core school supplies, hygiene products, and healthy snacks. Hubbard's Cupboards directly benefits teachers and their students in need.
SHOP
WITH SAM
To celebrate the holiday season, the Sam Hubbard Foundation partnered with the Boys & Girls clubs of Greater Cincinnati to provide twenty students with a night of fun, food and shopping with Sam. The event was hosted at King Arthur’s Court where Sam provided the group a pre-shopping pizza party in the store’s private play room. Then each child was given $250 and a few hours to shop for their Christmas gifts. He stayed and played with the kids until the last child went home.
backpack
DRIVE
On Tuesday, August 16th we distributed over 650 backpacks to each and every student in the Bellevue school district. We partnered with educational partner, Crayons to Computers which tailored each backpack to the student’s grade level to execute this program. Also on hand during the event were Who Dey! from the Bengals, an ice cream truck courtesy of UDF, and the Shamrocker from Jake Sweeney Automotive Group.
Students got the chance to take pictures with the defensive end prior to getting their backpacks, many of them sneaking away with the ultimate hall pass, an autograph from Hubbard himself!
Thanksgiving
DRIVE
With a foundation dedicated to fighting food insecurity in his hometown, Sam along with his Bengals teammates, stepped up to provide over 150 full Thanksgiving meals to those in need in the Cincinnati area. Understanding that so many people are hungry, Sam was determined to expand the impact he could have over the Thanksgiving Holiday by providing meals for two local Cincinnati organizations.
youth
football
Launched in the summer of 2018, the Annual Sam Hubbard Youth Football Camp has served over 200 Cincinnati youth and raised over $30,000 for charity by offering tips and hands-on instruction, including:
-
fundamental football skills stations
-
contests
-
non-contact games
The camp places a special emphasis on serving underprivileged children in the Cincinnati area by partnering with local non-profits to reserve spots for campers who may not normally be able to attend a summer football camp.
